Using .pdf forms to submit data

Asked by Jay Donelson  on January 29, 2015 at 03:11 PM

Does JotForm allow me as a user to create a form, convert it to a .pdf, and send it to a user who can then fill it out and submit the data? We have users who cannot get to websites but do have email access, so they need to be able to submit data through a .pdf rather than an online form that's been embedded in a website.

It is possible to convert a create a PDF version of the form:

The downside is that the submissions will later need to be manually entered if you want them all to be in the same list as the online submissions.

Let us know if this is a solution for you.

If I've followed these instructions to create a PDF form for people having trouble accessing our online form, where does the data go when the user hits the "submit" button? Or do they just have to save and email them? Thanks!

When the user hits the submit button, the data goes to your JF account. They can also save it and email the forms. However, the most effective way is to have an online form all can access. What would be the cause for some users are not able to access your online form? Could you please share your webpage where the form is embedded so we can further inspect?
