How to be able to view a report that calculates the total amount for a category on my form?

Hi! I'm trying to create a form that multiple users will submit an expense and attach an expense category to it. Then I would like to be able to view a report that calculates the total amount spent as well as how much spent in each category. Does that make sense? Is that possible?
