    Trying to use computation/calculation

Asked by M732burke on February 02, 2015 at 12:54 PM

I am trying to use the conditional computation/calculation screen to populate two fields based on what the user selects in the employee name field.  Does this conditional operator only return numbers?  I want to put in text.  It works, just puts in a huge number of digits/numbers even when I limit the field size.

I'm not sure if I understood your concern completely, do you want to output text but has a calculation on it? Could you please share us an example or how it would work in your form?

For the meantime, you could try the following suggestions:

How to perform calculation on form: http://www.jotform.com/help/259-How-to-perform-calculation-in-the-form

How to insert text or mathematical calculation into a field using a condition: http://www.jotform.com/help/268-How-to-Insert-Text-or-Mathematical-Calculation-into-a-field-using-a-Condition

How to populate field using a value from another field: http://www.jotform.com/help/286-How-to-Populate-Field-with-a-Value-from-another-Field

I hope this helps. Do let us know if you need more information on this.

    Thank you.
