I am using the configurable list widget and it functions in all my browsers but my client has to use IE9 and only shows a blank area where this list should be, is there any work around for this?

I tried checking the form in IE9 and the configurable list widget is working properly.
I would suggest you to advise your client to clear their browser cache and make sure that the windows is up to date.

I have not been seeing that result, but are there no issues reported in an versions of IE, they could be using IE8 as well, and they have had this issue on multiple machines, is there anything that maybe blocking just the widget?

It is also working properly in IE8.
I tested the widget in Windows XP - IE7 and it is blank. It is because that Windows XP is not supported anymore together with IE7.
If the form is embedded on a web page, it is possible that there are conflicts in the scripts.
