Collecting credit card informationAsked by katherineschutte on February 11, 2015 at 05:48 PM
I have been using Jot Form for three years to collect credit card information. I received an email from Jot Form today indicating that I can no longer do this. I am trying to find a solution and need one immediately since my business is now at a stand still.
I am a travel agent and I collect credit card information that is processed by travel suppliers. It is against the seller of travel laws in most states for travel agents to process consumer payments into their own business bank accounts and then pay the travel supplier. Those laws require that the travel agent submit the consumers credit card information to the travel supplier for processing. In other words, I book a Cruise for my client...I collect the client's credit card information and process the payment through the cruise Line. The cruise Line actually processes the card. This is how almost every travel agency does business.
Looking at the payment integration offerings by Jot Form, this is not an option. It looks like Stripe would allow me to take the credit card information now, and then later have Stripe make the actual charge to the consumer's card later but as I explained, that does not help me. I have to have access to the credit card information so that I can provide it to the travel suppliers.
Do you have any solutions for travel agents? I have recommended Jot Form to hundreds of other travel agents who currently all use Jot Form the way that I was which is apparently not allowed so this is not a small problem. I would appreciate any suggestions you can provide. Thank you.
