Getting Stuck with "Please Wait..." Message in Submit Button When Multiple Text Fields Widget is Not Filled Out inside the Form Collapse Bar

I just sent out a form that I tested and it works just fine for me but someone else is trying to use it and they said when they hit the submit button they get a "please wait' message. Can you please help me figure out why it works for me and not them?

    Thank you!

Can you please tell us if this issue happens on the jotform when you access it directly, or when it is accessed on some website?

If this happens on the embedded jotform, please include the link to the jotform on that page so that we can inspect what could be the reason causing this.

The form is on our website. Here is the page where it is: http://www.watransit.com/Pages/SpringForumVendorDetails.aspx and click on the vendor registration icon.

I just had another person with the same problem and he said he used multiple browsers. And someone did get through and submitted the form but hasn't received an email confirmation and I didn't get a notification either. Something is going on.

    Hi,

It seems that the problem was with the Form collapse field and the Form Tabs widget placed in the middle of the form. I would suggest that you re-add the Form Collapse field and move the Form Tabs widget at the most bottom part of the form.

I believe this happens on IE browser.

See if that fixes the problem.

    Kind regards

Thank you for your suggestion. I did both of the things you suggested and had someone test it who had problems before. He said it's still freezing up and getting stuck with the please wait message. He tried it in explorer and chrome. I really need for this to be fixed.

The weird thing is, three other forms have come through just fine so how do you explain that one? Let me know what I try next.

    Hi,

I've cloned your form and again and made some test, it seems that the Form collapse bar is causing problems together with the Multiple Text Fields field. When the Multiple Text Fields widget is under or inside the Form Collapse bar, and the user did not open the form collapse and then clicked the "Next" button, it gives an error in Internet Explorer, after that when they continue until the submit button, it gives the "Please Wait..." stuck up message.

Could you try removing the Form Collapse bar for that section and see if that the submit button works. I will also escalate this to our developers so that can further investigate what might be the real cause of the problem.

    Thank you.

I took off the form collapse bar and that seemed to work! My tester tried it again and his form came through. I guess you can't have a widget within a widget but if this could be confirmed, it would good for me and others to know. Let me know if the developers have any explanations. Thank you for your help!

Thanks for the reply. So, just to follow up, can you put a widget within another widget?

I presume that this is related to Form Collapse tool and other widgets - if so, then yes, you can continue as you did and add the Multiple Text Fields widget under the Form Collapse because the issue is now fixed.

If that is not what you meant, please let us know by opening a new thread and we would be happy to help you with what you had in mind.
