How do I put two or three questions on one line?

You will have to position the fields using our Field Positioning feature. Please follow the instructions in this guide: http://www.jotform.com/help/90-Form-Field-Positioning.

Note that the positioning still depends on your form width so make sure to adjust it if you need to add 3 or more lines:
