How to disable default date in DateTime field?

2. One of my choices is a date filed and its auto-populating today's date I don't want it to do that. I believe I have turned that feature off. Please see screen shot sample.

You just need to do the following:

a. Click "Properties"

b. Click "Show Properties"

c. Set "Lite Mote" to "No"

 

Then make sure that the default time is not enabled:
