Feature Request: Generate an error message between 2 date fields if a condition is not met.

    Asked on February 20, 2015 at 6:18 AM

    I have two fields on my form which were both created by clicking "Date/Time" under Quick Tools in the left-hand sidebar. Both are set to be Required fields.

    One is called (ie, label says) "Start Date/Time" and the other is called "End Date/Time".

    What I would like to do is prevent the user (with display of a suitable error message) from entering a Date/Time in "End Date/Time" which is earlier than the one in "Start Date/Time".

    Can this be done, and if so how?

    Sorry to say that but it is not possible to do this in the Jotform interface currently. A ticket was submitted for a feature similar to what you are requesting that could help you out but it is not yet implemented. For you to do such a comparison, I am afraid you will have to make adjustments to the source code for the form.

    However, I will pass this information on to our development team so that they can look into its implementation also. I can not say when this will be completed but I can assure you that once this feature is available, you will be notified via this thread. We will be in touch.

    Cheers!

    @legionarytours

    I have moved your request to a new thread as we aim at having only one user/question per thread.

    You can find it here:
