Storing video files

Hello! We have a form that requires the submission to include video files of 30-60 seconds. These will probably be upwards of 100MB. The file size of multiple entries adds up -- is it possible to have those stored on Dropbox or Google Drive? Or upgrade our storage amount on Jotform?

    Thanks!

    Hi NicoGoganFoundation,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Yes, there are ways to store video files on 3rd party services. We have both Google Drive and Dropbox integrations, but they only make a copy of the uploaded data, so the files will still get uploaded into your Jotform account. We do also have some widgets we have that can upload directly to another service, like the File Uploader by Uploadcare widget, and the Cincopa DeepUploader widget.

You can also use something like Drive Uploader with the iFrame widget to embed an upload window into your form. You can also use the Webhook integration to push information along with the file to Google Drive.

Since we don't have a way to push files directly to Google Drive or Dropbox at the moment, I've gone ahead and escalated your request to our Developer Team. When or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

    Hi NicoGoganFoundation,

Unfortunately, no way to just purchase upload space in any of our available plans at this moment. You'll need to upgrade to one of the available plans as per your requirements. Check out our pricing page to get more details about the limits and usage of each available plan.

Alternatively, you can delete old submission data to free up space for more submissions. We recommend downloading old submissions to your local before deleting old submissions to avoid losing your data.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
