If I create the form I want is it similar to a pdf document in that I can send the form to others, they can open it and type directly into the form, and then they can send it back to me via email?

    Hello Halldis Kelly,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Would you like to create a form that you can easily share with your respondents and when they're done filling it out and submitting it, you'll get an email and a PDF report with their entry. If so, it's very easy to do. Let me walk you through it:

    • On your My Forms page, click on Create Form.
    • Select Start From Scratch and then choose a Form Layout.
    • On the Form Builder page, click on the Add Form Element menu on the left side of the screen.
    • Under the Basic tab, scroll down the list, choose the elements that you want, and then drag and drop them onto your form.

To attach a PDF report to every submission, you must enable this option in the Email Notification. If you also want your respondents to receive a PDF attachment, you must also enable this option in the Autoresponder.

    • In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.
    • In the menu on the left side of the page, click on Email.
    • Click on the Pencil icon next to the email field (Email Notification/Autoresponder).
    • In the window that opens up, click on Advanced.
    • Scroll down and toggle on the Attach PDF.
    • Then click on Save.

Also, the link to your form can be found on this part of the form builder.

    • In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Publish.
    • Under the Quick Share tab, click the Copy Link button to copy your Form URL.
