    What am I missing here??

    Asked by roguedesignink on October 22, 2011 at 07:46 PM

    Hi. I'm new to JotForm. I'm missing something, I know it. Why can't I change the color of the font and background in the header or "submit form" boxes?? Also when I go to change the back ground in general and the font color, I try to change the hex code and everytime I paste it in, it just stays the same color it started at, meaning it won't recagnize the hex code? What the heck am I missing here?

    To change the header background please use this css code:

    .form-header-group {

    For the submit button text color use this code:

    .form-submit-button, .form-submit-reset, .form-submit-print, .form-screen-button {

    Just change the bolded text to any color (hex code) you want.

    Now, here's the steps on how to add that css code into your form.

    1. While on your form (Edit Mode), Click Setup & Embed

    2. Click on Preferences

    3. Goto Form Styles Tab and insert that codes under Inject Custom CSS

    I also tried pasting color hex codes on the background tool and it is working great, it should also work on your end, just please retry and don't forget the hash (#) symbol.

    I hope this helps. Thank you!

    This is great info!! I think I communicated it wrong though because what I want to do is change the font color in the top banner (the header). And I wanted to change the box color in the "submit" button. With your instructions I changed the header box color and the font for the submit button, which is great cuz now I know how to change it in other forms! Do you have the CSS for the above mention?

    Thanks for all your help!!

    PS doyou happen to also know hoe to change the color in the answer boxes? Or is this a separate action for each box? If so I don't expect you to put the code for each one.

    To change the font color of your form header just simply use the Font Color Tool,

    For the submit button color, you may try this code:

    .form-submit-button, .form-submit-reset, .form-submit-print, .form-screen-button input{background-color: #000000;}

    For the inputbox text color use this code:

    .form-all input {

    As usual, just customize it to any color you want.

    If you have any other concern just let us know, we'd be happy to help you!

    Kindest Regards,

    We have fixed this bug today. Custom HEX values can now be entered (and saved) via the color picker tool.

    We'd appreciate it if you could test it out and let us know what you think.
