SSL lock icon not showing on WordPress website the secure form is embedded atAsked by TrademarkCapitalFinance on February 26, 2015 at 02:22 PM
Ive made my form secure and ive embedded it into my wordpress page, but when i go to that page, the lock icon in the address bar isnt showing?
How can i make it show/ work!
This is a re-post of a comment on Adding Forms to Wordpress.org Version
As I understand, you want the lock icon to appear on the address bar right? The lock icon represents that it is a secure website. So the URL of your web page should start with https://.
If the form is using secure SSL, you need to embed it on a secure website as well.
Can you please share the URL of the web page where the form is embedded?
You would need to contact your hosting to ask them to give you certificate for your website.
Once they add it, ask them what you should do to set your WordPress website to start redirecting from HTTP to HTTPS and they should help you set it up.
Usually that is quickly set and they will know to tell you which file to change - or do it for you.
Now in regards to your other question about having the jotform secure or non secure if the website is secure - as we can only reply to one question per thread, I have moved it to a new thread here: http://www.jotform.com/answers/524030
