    Label not aligned on left as specified

    Asked by guineapigme on February 28, 2015 at 12:20 PM

    Hi there,

    I am trying to reduct the vertical footprint of my form.   In my last page of my form which has, fields for Name, Dancers and Configurations, Notes ...

    The Name label is on top of the field even though I have specified it as to be on the left.  I realize that the field is long, but is it possible to put this label to the left of the field and still retain some degree of horizontal separation between the label and the fields?    A few spaces would be fine.

    Reducing the size of the textbox field will do it:

    You may consider doing that instead.

    I specifically do NOT want to limit my field size.  The "Name box is only 4 characters.  Isn't there a way to use it and not have it alter the positioning?

    What my colleague suggested would be the best way to get it done. Another way you can explore is increasing the width of the entire form. You can follow this guide for the steps: http://www.jotform.com/help/35-The-Importance-of-Form-Widths

    You can also inject this CSS code and it should position your text boxes without affecting other fields on your form.

    #input_99, #input_105, #input_111, #input_105,
    #input_81, #input_87, #input_225, #input_229,
    #input_233, #input_237, #input_241{
    right: -153px !important;
    top: -30px !important;
    position: relative !important;

    This should be the outcome for each field.
