Hint example not appearing in Internet Explorer

Asked by fatherb on October 25, 2011 at 07:43 AM

The Hint example not appearing in Internet Explorer, for the email field.

In the build of the form, the hint text appears but is not shown in Internet Explorer when previewed or on the actual weblink to the form. You can see this in the preview (screen shot attached). It appears fine in Chrome. Guessing this is a CSS issue with IE but I lack the ability to figure out what hacks I need to add in for Internet Explorer.

    Can anyone help please?

I have tested your form in IE versions 6.0, 7.0, 8.0, and 9.0 and saw the hint text in all of them. The screenshot you gave to us is from the preview of your form. Maybe the issue or bug was caused from the preview. Did you check your form with the "open in new tab" or copy the form URL to IE and see the same problem?

Here is a screenshot from IE 8.0 of what I saw.

thanks for answering. Something one of the other Jotform people did fixed it a bit earlier. It appears to be behaving itself now.

    Thanks for your help.
