    Need my forms tabs to look like folder tabs

    Asked by guineapigme on March 04, 2015 at 01:24 AM

    My users are confused about my form tabs which look too much like buttons.

    Is there some CSS code to make them look like tabs sticking out of my form?

    http://www.jotform.com//?formID=43637462243152

    I think I would like them to look and act like the tabs shown in the form tabs demo. in the widget categories.

    Thank you.

    I'm not quite sure if this is what you want, but you can remove the custom CSS that was added to the widget.

    This would leave its appearance like the picture below.

    Is this what you're trying to accomplish?

    If not, please let us know more details about how you want to show the tabs and we'll be happy to help.

    Thank you.

    Well, I don't like the tab angles sticking out of the form, and I would like the tabs to be colored differently so that they don't fade away in my color scheme.

    I can't see the edges of the tabs well

    I need them to not look like buttons.

    Hi,

    I checked your form and it appears as though you have already made some more changes:

    The buttons are rounded and very visible.  If there are more changes you would like made, let us know and we will be happy to help.

    Ah, but you see that's the problem, my users don't want to see "buttons," they need to see "folder tabs."

    Can you give me a way to make them look more like they are attached to the page as folder tabs, not "buttons."

    My users are easily confused.

    If you removed the current CSS for your tabs and change it to:

    .tabs-list li {
      color: #FFF !important;
      background:#ff6a6a  !important;
    }
    .tabs-list li.current {
      background: #ffff87 !important;
      color: blue !important;
    }

    Your tabs look more square, but still do look like buttons.

    Adding or removing this line from the CSS will control whether or not the sides of the tabs show up:

    div.liBefore, div.liAfter {
      display: none !important;
    }

    However, as you stated previously, it does hang out a bit over the side of your form.
