Hi, I'm trying to use merge tags in conjunction with Pengu.global to send an sms alert to my phone including "form data". I have set everything up and I have managed to receive an sms but with only 2 bits of form data. Where will I find the merge tags for "each" field in my form. Currently there are 2 merge tags available, but I have more fields than available merge tags. Thanks.

There is a limit on the amount of characters that will be sent through SMS to your phone, as such all information would not be sent.
You can get up to The limit 1020 characters, however you would need to pay additional fees to get that amount of characters. You can however switch from using HTML version of email and use Text one instead as this would allow you to get more information sent to you, since the HTML version will use up more characters.

Hi Shadae, Thanks for your reply, but it does not appear to address my problem in any way. My problem is that I can only find 2 merge tags...so I can only get "form data" from 2 of the fields...even though my form has 7 fields...where do I find the other merge tags? Also I am nowhere near the max character limit that you mentioned, and I am set up in "text mode" email, not html. Thanks in advance, Regards, Chris.

I do apologize for the misunderstanding regarding your question.
After reviewing Pengu, it appears that it is only possible to get merge tags for Drop Down and Radio button fields.
As such you would not see the merge-tags for any other field types.
I have created a Feature Request to have more field options available with their merge tag feature. The request will be passed on to them and any update will be posted on this thread.

I am the creator of pengu.global. Currently merge tags are limited to ensure that they can be sent reliably, and more merge tags are being added bit by bit.
Please use the contact form on our website (www.pengu.global/contact) to list which form fields you would like as a merge tag and I will see if I can add them.

Hi, Just wondered if there has been any progress re merge tags. I submitted a list of my proposed merge tags as suggested by Tim, but as yet have heard nothing. I am now a paying customer having purchased "credits" but look forward to being able to capture vital "field data" in an sms. My form is viewable at http://form.jotformeu.com/form/50675827828368. I am sure Tim received your message through their contact page. I think his team is still checking for a possible solution and couldn't update you yet. You may consider including this thread to your email so he or his team can recognize that you are referring to this request.

Since Chris had posted in this thread, any updates to it will automatically be forwarded to his email. My colleague was stating that you may want to forward this thread to them just in case they hadn't seen the automated notifications from our system. That way, they can have all the background for your request.
Since this is an issue with Pengu, you may also want to follow up there rather than here.
