    Widen text field and force label to be positioned - have inconsistent results

    Asked by guineapigme on March 08, 2015 at 04:41 PM

    I have been trying to work on a version of my form and would like all my entries to be uniform.

    At the bottom of my form with labels 11 - 15 I have (accidentally) created a numbered text field that has the number above a left justified field.

    I would like this to occur for the same fields 1 - 10, but don't seem to be able to make this happen.

    I would like all the fields to be 120 in length.

    Additionally, I would like to increase the width of my configurable list under the PROGRAM SUMMARY TEST BOX

    Actually, I would like the following format.

    The number left justified, the text field adjacent  to it in a left justified fashion so that it appears different from the underlying text areas below it.

    You have used the ff: CSS codes on the previous Textboxes that were properly aligned already (1-10)

    right : -153px !important;

    top : -30px !important;

    position : relative !important;

    Since we do not want to affect all the other Textboxes (i.e those on the very top), you will need to use the CSS code to each individual Textboxes involved instead.

    The Form Designer will simplify the process for this. Just double click on the input box, so that it will auto select the input_ID# and then you can add the CSS code. Please refer to the screenshot below also for guidance.

    Hope this help. Let us know if you find any difficulty doing it.

    Thanks.

    I am not able to get this to work.  The CSS helper is very confusing to me.  I would like the text boxes 1 - 9 to stay the same but be more left justified so that the text box is more towards the numeric label to form some indenting.

    I would like the remainder to be the same labels 10-15.

    Hello guineapigme,

    Please take a look at the following cloned form and see if this is what you wanted to achieve:  http://form.jotformpro.com/form/50671320267955?

    I would like the remainder to be the same labels 10-15.

    I am not sure if I have understood your requirement for labels 10-15. Do you want these text boxes to also appear the same way labels 1-9 is placed in my cloned form?

    Do get back to us and we will share the required custom css code to position the text boxes in appropriate position.

    Thank you!

    Yes, that is perfect.  I notice that some of the fields are longer than the others.  I would like the longest field size for all of them.

    Thank you!

    I'm sorry but can you please clarify what type of format do you want to apply on all of these fields.

    We'll wait for your reply. Thank you.

    I wanted them all the same,  the number on the left side of the field (not the top) and the field almost all the way to the end of the form.

    Originally for some reason that I didn't intend, there was a differentiation between 1 - 15.

    Yes, that is what I would like, with the text field longer, I would like it to extend further to provide a maximum field for description.

    I do not want to clone the form to effect the changes as I already have submissions

    attached to it.

    Thank you,

    Deborah
