I want to create a form where school can submit their information to a public database that I will publish on my website.
Is there a way I can publish the results of my forms on my website? I am especially interested in such a thing that does not involve a spreadsheet. any ideas?

Have you had a look at the Reports section for your forms?
In here you may a few options that may work for you.
HTML Table listing & Visual Report Builder may be of particular use to you.
You can generate meaningful reports (charts, tables) with both of these options & embed them on a webpage in much the same way you do your forms!
I ask you to have a look and a little experiment with these features to see if any of them are of use to you.
If you need any help understanding any their functionality or have any other questions, just ask.

This would be helpful but the way the reports display is problematic.
I really want to avoid the report that my customers would see looking like a spreadsheet.
I would rather it look something like this:
In those reports above I get something that looks like a spreadsheet, even when I eliminate the submission date, etc.

Unfortunately, these reports are built as is and we do not provide much ability to customize them. If you want total control over how your reports look, you may instead opt to have the submission data dumped onto your own database, and have a custom reports page pull out those data and display them on your website.
To be able to send submission data to a database, you would need to know PHP. Kindly visit this page to learn how to enable sending data via http POST.
