How can I sell Digital Downloads using JotForm?

Simple: Create a form and add PayPal integration to your form under "Payment Tools" toolbox on the left side. Complete the payment wizard and enter details like PayPal email address, product prices etc. Then embed this form to your web site.

Since you said "custom" I assume you will create the mp3s and email them to the user. If you need to provide them to the user instantly when the payment is completed, then create a page that has the mp3 file(s) and put the URL of that page as your "Thank You URL".

Thanks Aytekin.  This answers my question.  I was planning on delivering the mp3 file instantly.  But if I create a page with the file on it, doesn't that mean that anyone who bought the file can potentially give that link to all their friends, making it free to everyone else?

Do you know of a work around that?

    Thanks again for the help.

They can also share the mp3 file directly. So, there is no escape from that.

You can put the mp3 link on the Thank You Message page, instead of Thank You URL, then the URL of the page cannot be shared.

This was very helpful!  I love the idea of including the link in the Thank You message.  Very smart and easy.  This question might be an obvious no brainer, but if the payment doesn't go thorugh, they wont see the thank you message, will they?  Is it possible to create a, "It didn't work" message or is that built into paypal's side?

    Thanks so much!

Oops. I just submitted a question to the forum similar to this. I'm not sure I'm quite satisfied with the response, though.

You can put the mp3 link on the Thank You Message page, instead of Thank You URL, then the URL of the page cannot be shared.

But then can't they also just share the download link? I understand they could easily email the mp3 instead of the download link, but it's still one more layer of protection.

You're right but we're not a file-hosting or digital sales company,

Aytekin just showed that there is a simple solution for that, but it's not very secure.

You can ask a developer to write these kind of application, it can provide a one-time-usable link or temporary link to file, after it's downloaded, than the URL will be useless. It's not very hard to implement but we're not supporting that kind of 3rd party features in Jotform, yet.

    Kindest Regards,

    Ertugrul.

Great info. I'm just wondering, what if there are multiplte digital downloads? Would this require a new form for each "product". Admittedly that wouldn't be too difficult to acheive, but I'm just wondering if there's something I'm missing.
I totally agree, you're not a file hosting or digital sales company (I have Amazon for that anywho), but as digital download sales increase, and with JotForm absolutely rocking the kasbah, I can see the question being asked more and more as time goes on. I was going to use a third party until I became aware JotForm has the ability to sell digital downloads. So am I correct in thinking a new form would be needed for each "product"?

    Thanks in advance.
