is there a way to reset a field or have an initial starting condition on an editable link (or post-process before submission)?Asked by guineapigme on March 12, 2015 at 01:27 AM
Or, is there a way to force a field to default value whenever the editable link is opened up? I don't want a read only field, just an initial starting value field.
Because I use a dropdown menu as a mode button, I would like to ensure that my menu select drop down is always in the "Please Select a Mode" condition on any viewing of my editable link.
I have one superuser and many regular users. When my superuser edits and saves a form, I would like my regular users to be able to view the form in my "view" mode. But this necessitates them using my drop down menu to choose modes. The drop down menu is in the position it was when my superuser saved it.
How can I force or workaround this issue.
If there was some way to update a value before submission? Is there a way to fake this?
I do apologize, it is not possible to make a specific field no longer editable once edited by someone else.
The only option that would allow users not to be able to edit the field would be to make the field a read-only, however this would mean that no one can edit a specific form to change the value of the feel.
