As of yesterday, if I edit a form that was submitted, the form gets updated in Jotform; however, the form in Dropbox is not being updated.I even deleted the existing pdf in dropbox and when i re-submit my editted submission, the pdf that shows up in dropbox is the original submission not the editted one that includes my changes. Please advise asap.

I have reconfirmed that edited submissions are not updating the pdf in dropbox. I filled out a new form and submitted it.
The full name is test test. I entered the words 'fake address' in my address field and clicked submit. The form shows up in dropbox as a pdf in the folder named test test (like it is supposed to)
In Jotform, I clicked edit submission for test test and changed the words in the address filed to 'real address'
in the Jotforms submission page, the address field change is there; however, the pdf in dropbox is not changed - it is the original.
I need this resolved asap. I wonder how many users aren't aware that there is an issue with syncing!

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, I was also able to replicate the said issue. For this reason I have forwarded this concern to our developers for further investigation. We will keep you posted on whatever updates we have on this issue via this thread.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Can I please get an ETA when this issue will be resolved. We are in the process of editing a bunch of applications to meet a deadline and not having our dropbox files updated is causing a big problem.
- JotForm SupportmlizAnswered on October 28, 2011 at 10:08 PM
As of the moment I am not able to give out an ETA for the fix since this is still being investigated. Once we have any updates on the status we will let you know immediately, rest assured the issue is being looked into.

Am I the only one with this issue? If so, I need to know how I can work around this issue until you get it resolved. If I am not the only one whose pdf's are not getting updated in dropbox (when submission is edited), Jotform support needs to alert users to this issue. If users delete submissions from their jotform account, they may not know they don't have the most updated submission in dropbox. This has the potential of irritating a lot of users.

Dropbox forms doesn't have either deleting or editing feature. However if the name of submission is changed, the submission is uploaded as a new submission.

What are you talking about? Your response makes no sense to the issues I have raised. Have you read this thread? If so, you will see that my issue is well explained; however, I have yet to receive a solution. Your response offers no value to me.

Don't you want to update pdf file in Dropbox when submission is edited ?
- lshad24Answered on October 31, 2011 at 01:23 PM
I do. It is my understanding that if a a submission is edited, the pdf in dropbox is updated to reflect those changes.
- emrew86Answered on October 31, 2011 at 05:15 PM
As I said before, our system does not support it yet. We will implement it in the future.

Ishad24, As a possible workaround whilst you wait for this feature to be implemented you could:
1) Delete the original submission of Dropbox, then edit and save the submission.
- lshad24Answered on October 31, 2011 at 05:45 PM
As you can see from my original post, I tried deleting the pdf in dropbox and resubmitting the form. For some reason, it keeps saving the original form. I could easily do this work-around if you could help me figure out why the pdf that gets saved into dropbox is the original (old) one. When I deleted the entry in dropbox, it should no longer have a record of the original submission, right?
- fxrAnswered on October 31, 2011 at 06:10 PM
OK. Yes, your right, my fault. Sorry about that.
Seems your only option, for now, is to use the Get PDF option and upload the edited submission in place of the original one on DropBox.
Wish I could have came up with a better solution for you.

Any idea why the original submission is saved again in dropbox? There must me a logical reason. If I delete the pdf and the corresponding folder, it would make sense that upon submitting the edited form it would create a folder and pdf. Where is it getting the old submission?
- fxrAnswered on November 01, 2011 at 12:40 PM
Thats a good question. I do find it odd myself. Only the developers can answer that.
For now, we will just have to wait for the edits of submissions synching with dropbox to be added as a feature.

Any insight yet on how to resolve this issue?

Unfortunately, there is still no ETA. Our developers are working hard on improving the services, but there are a lot of things that should be fixed/implemented. We hope for your understanding in this matter.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation with us. It is much appreciated.

I just stumbled upon this issue myself, I thought edits would update in dropbox but sadly they don't, hope there's more news on this sooner than later.

Dropbox API does not support it.
