I want to change the font color and family of a text fieldAsked by JamesValleyHousing on March 19, 2015 at 06:54 PM
When I try to choose a different font or color, the icon is greyed out and no choices open. Ben answered this question last September, but it isn't working for me. None of the choices at the bottom work except "select background color".

I am not sure if I understand exactly what you would like to accomplish.
What I can say is that there is a HTML widget that will allow you to add as much your own pure HTML code in and have it displayed on your jotform. I am however not sure if that is what you mean.
To get this widget on your form you should look under Form Tools (on the left) and then select Text widget. It will allow you to edit data with the toolbar and to edit HTML directly.
Do let us know if this is what you wanted and if this is not what you meant.
I've cloned this form: http://www.jotform.us/form/50764044491152 to make some tests and I see that what you're using is a Heading field instead of the Text field which is the one my colleague Ben was referring to.
In order to change the font color of the Headings, you need to open the form designer, click on one of your Headers and you can see on the right side of the screen the properties of it which you can modify.
Once you have completed the changes, hit on the Save button and your changes will be reflected in the form.
I hope this helps.
Let us know if you have further questions.
No, I want to change the font and color of the words "Eligibility Questionnaire" with is in an HTML text box.
Thank you for providing more information.
In order to change the color on that field, you need to mark it first and then click on the change text color icon and select the font family you want to use, as you can see below.
Once you've selected the color and font family of your preference, click on the Complete button and the changes should be reflected accordingly.
Let us know if this helps.
I can now change the font and size, but not the color.
I've cloned your JotForm to my account and tried changing the font color of the text field. I do not see any issue with changing the color. Please see the recorded session below that might help you.
If you continue to see any issue with changing the color of the field, please let us know. We will be happy to help.
No, I still can't change the color. When I click on the font box, it doesn't open up.
Can you let us know which browser/version are you using to edit your form?
I'm still unable to reproduce the issue on my side. Also, please share a screenshot of what do you see when you try to edit the color so we can better understand what's happening.
