Can i get a excel sheet attachment along the recipient email? I want the completed form in a excel format to be attached along with the recipient email.

Unfortunately, you cannot attach excel file of the completed form in the email notifications or auto-responder. However, you can include PDF link file of the completed form in the email.

Does not help at all. Seems like a simple thing to be able to attach excel files, zip files etc.

This thread is fairly old. You can now attach a single file to notification or autoresponder emails. Here is how to do so:
Unfortunately, it is still not possible to attach multiple files or compressed files.
