    Hide Empty Fields in customized Email Notification

    The Hide Empty Fields on Emails doesn't work when you customize the email.

    Hi again,

    Unfortunately, I believe this is not quite possible right now.

    It would be hard to have a fully customized email then hiding the empty fields, because this needs to have a fixed data structure, like the data table for the system to read it correctly and properly adjust the email body.

    I will escalate this as a feature request but would not be able to guarantee that this will be implemented anytime soon. But we'll let you know if there's any news on this.

    Yes, I understand that there's going to be limits when the form is fully customized but considering the amazing work on the front end, the developers can come up with a way that "Hide Empty Fields" still works on question/answer fields that are only partially customized.

    Right now "Hide Empty Fields" only works if you use the default submission template. If you change one word in one question "Hide Empty Fields" breaks completely.

    Thank you for your inputs and feedback.

    I also have a workaround in mind, if you are familiar with PHP scripts then you can use Webhook to run it after submission.

    Here's also a guide that you can use to send notifications using default PHP function together with Webhook: http://www.jotform.com/blog/85-Send-Instant-Submission-Notifications-with-Webhooks.

     

    From the body of the PHP, you can set conditions like if fields are empty, you can include a email body where you can set what to display in the mail PHP function.
