How can I make a form secure?

I am trying to modify my forms to be "secure." Each time I have clicked the "Secure Form" box, it hasn't ended up being secure when I embed it to my website, and the box is unchecked when I go back to edit the form. I am creating a custom URL as well, so maybe that is getting in the way? Help! Thanks!
