Auto-fill option not working with widgets

    Hello - I was filling out my form the other day when it accidentally refreshed itself.  I have put the settings to save entries for 5 days.  To my dismay, many of the fields I had already completed were empty.  Can you please let me know what the issue is and if there is a recovery option for when this occurs?

    Sidenote - I used a widget for most of the form to add content.  Would that have caused this problem?

    Hello Nelissa,

    Sorry to see that you are having issues with auto-fill option. Unfortunately, the auto-fill option works only with native fields on the form builder. It doesn't work with the widget fields. This may be due to loading the widgets from a different addresses. As I check your JotForm, it worked fine with the native fields at my end.

    Let me forward a feature request to our next level to see if this can be implemented. However, we cannot promise any ETA at the moment. You'll be posted through the thread once we have any update on the issue.

    Meanwhile, you may consider using native checkboxes field instead of widget.

    Hello again - so one of my sales people filled out the form and when he submitted ALL the info he had inputted was erased using the text widget!  We need that info ASAP so he does not have to resubmit.  

     

    These widgets should NOT be offered if they do not work properly!!  All that data has been lost - unless you or the widget maker can recover??  Please send us an answer as soon as possible for a solution.

    I can see that this ticket has been already assigned to a developer and he's currently working on adding this feature. Unfortunately, we cannot provide an ETA on when this will be available but you'll ne notified here once an update regarding this matter shows up.

    Regarding the issue with your sales person, do you mean that the data he entered in the form was not captured on the submissions screen? Please let us know so we can further investigate this.

    Yes, he completed his submission...but the text widget captured NONE of the info he had typed in!  It was alot of detail and info, so we are desperate to recover that info.
