Will you be providing an option to save a submission as a PDF?Asked by keith1827 on March 31, 2015 at 04:24 PM
I'm currently using Adobe FormCentral and am looking for another service to use now that they are discontinuing it. I think your site is great and very user friendly, however I need to be able to print the submitted form and have it look like the form the user fills out. I have a one page form that my clients fill out and I print, which becomes the cover letter to an insurance survey report. Therefore it needs to look a certain way. I can't just have a page with the information listed.
Right now with Adobe FormCentral I can save the submitted form as a PDF and print it. Any chance you'll be providing a similar service in the near future?
Curious to see if you have any suggestions or thoughts on the matter.
Hi Keith and welcome to JotForm.
We actually already have that option and I would recommend taking a look at this guide to see more on how to make the PDF submission file look as much as your jotform as possible: How to include Headers, Texts and Images in the PDF format of a submission
What I would suggest however is to also uncheck the Auto Hide empty fields option if you need to show the empty as well as filled out fields, like so:
There is also an option to print your forms directly from them by using the Print button on the form itself and we would be happy to tell you how if that would work better for you.
You can see how to add it to your jotform here: Print Button on Forms, but as mentioned, we would show you how to utilize that to print the form exactly as shown if the option above does not work for you - just let us know if so.
I would also like to suggest taking a look at the following few blog posts:
Also, do let us know if you have any further questions and we would be happy to assist
