When using InfusionSoft integration, is there a way to shorten URLs for file uploads?

For some reason, Infusionsoft's email formatting breaks when given a long URL line and programs like Outlook (one of the most common for some reason) will break the URL in half and refuse to continue the second line as one continuous URL. This could cause confusion for people trying to download a file from a created URL.

Is there a way to automatically shorten these URLs upon upload?

    Thank you for contacting us.

We do not currently have an URL shortener option, so I have attached a feature request ticket to this thread and forwarded it to our Development Team. There is no ETA for when it will be implemented, but we will let you know if we have any updates on this.

You might also consider contacting Infusionsoft integration developer (http://infusedaddons.com/) to see if the URL shortener can be implemented at the integration level.

Please feel free to contact us if you need any further assistance.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll have to contact them, soon.

In the meantime, I figured out a workaround for any of you that need to insert a link into an InfusionSoft generated email. It's possible to create a hyperlink using the HTML snippet and add the URL within the code itself using the merge field of your choice. There's no way to add the merge field automatically. You either have to copy/paste or type it out by hand.

You can use a simple word or string, or even an image as the visual hyperlink, and be guaranteed that whenever the email is sent, it will look the same every time.

Hopefully, this will throw a paddle out to anyone in the same boat as me.

Thank you very much for the workaround.  It is always helpful for other users and for us as well to know how to get around limitations.  We will let you know as soon as we have any further information as to the status of your requested feature.
