There is no difference between them, their name just changed. We only have 2 types of email options:
1) Notifier/Notification which is sent to a specific email address or addresses, this is usually sent to the owner of the form by default. Here's a guide on how to set it up: http://www.jotform.com/help/25-Setting-Up-Email-Notifications
2) Autoresponder, this is an automated email that will be sent to the person who filled out the form, this is based from the email field found in the form. Here's a guide on how to set this up: http://www.jotform.com/help/26-Creating-a-Form-Autoresponder.
