Do the upload limits apply to each submission, each form, or to the entire account which would contain a number of different forms, some of which might require uploads?

Also, I am unable to access the "Max File Size" in a toolbar as shown in your screen shot.

This is a re-post of a comment on Changing the File Upload Size Limit

    Hello,

Please be noted that upload limits is NOT applied to form but submissions and the entire account.

The guide clearly says the following limits:

    1. Max file size which can be uploaded is 1 GB / file.

    2. We recommend you to accept uploads max of 25 files per submission.

You can have any number of forms in your account and all of them can have file upload question. All your forms put together can only receive uploads based on your account submission limits. If you are in free subscription plan, you can only receive up to 100 MB of uploads. As soon as you reach the 100 MB limit, all your forms will be disabled. You may like to check our pricing page for more information on our available plans and its submission limits:  http://www.jotform.com/pricing/

    Hope this answers your query.

Do get back to us if you have any questions.

    Thank you!

If I can receive 100 GB of uploads in the economy plan, is that per month? Or would I need to delete uploaded files periodically to remain under the 100 GB allowed?

The 100GB is the maximal amount at any time that can be allocated by your account. What this means is that it will not reset on a monthly basis, but if you delete the files at some point and clear space in your account, then the used file space counter will change accordingly.

So is this correct? We can just periodically delete the uploaded files in order to free up the 100GB limit, but keep all the info submitted in the various forms we maintain as long as we don't exceed 10,000 submissions per month?

Yes and no, but let me explain.

To remove the file, you need to remove the submission data that the file is associated with. This means that you will no longer have the forms data in your Submissions Panel neither - the ones that are removed, but yes, you can remove it at any point and as long as you do not go over the monthly submissions limit everything is OK.

What I suggest is to remove the submissions with files only when you make a backup of the data on your own hard disk, or some other storage. The reason for this is because, once removed on Jotform there is no way for us to restore it back for you.

Is it possible to just remove files that taking my 100MB space, but remain submission data?

    Hello chs05s3x.

No, it is currently not possible to remove only the file from a submission, without removing its associated submission data.

As mentioned above, you should export/download your submission data if you would like to keep it, before you remove any files. Removing a submitted file will remove the rest of that submission's data as well.

Please check these guides for some of the ways you can export your submission data:

As mentioned by bokid above you can not remove only files. This is because you must remove the submission (submitted data) which will in turn remove the uploaded files as well.

If you follow the steps mentioned by bokid you will however be able to create a backup of your submissions before you do any removal or alternatively you can upgrade to a higher plan to have more space available.
