I need to sign a contract that has already been signed by a client and send it back to her. For some reason after I sign the contract and hit submit the screen keeps getting stuck in send mode and never saves. Can you help?

I'm sorry to hear that, but I cannot seem to replicate this to the clone version of your form. I made a test submission and edited it in the form submissions page and I was able to submit the form without any issues, here's a screenshot:
When submitting the form:
Please try to close the form submissions page, logout from your account, clear your browser's cache and cookies for Jotform, login again and lastly, clear your forms cache:
