Questions about Salesforce integration

I love the capabilities of JotForm, and was especially thrilled to find out that you have an integration with salesforce. However, I've been trying to make it work for my form for a week now, and can't make it work. I have tried cloning the form and starting over with the integration. It will work if I only try to use a few fields from my form, but as I add more, it fails. When it fails the only thing that happens is the record doesn't appear in salesforce. I've been searching around on the Forum, and perhaps the situation is that only non-custom fields are supported? I am using several custom fields in salesforce. I'm also using picklists. Here are the questions I have:

    1. What types of fields in salesforce can be linked to?

    2. Do the fields in salesforce that can be linked to - have to be standard fields?

    3. When an integration fails, is there any way of seeing error reasons? Or at least seeing which field(s) causes failures?

    4. Can I link to a picklist field in salesforce? What type of field in jotform should I use?

    5. With a signature field in JotForm, can I link to a field in salesforce?

You should use the fields you see in the quick tools sections as much as possible.

    3. When an integration fails, is there any way of seeing error reasons? Or at least seeing which field(s) causes failures?

Unfortunately, no. When the integration fails for some reason there's no way to see the exact reason. You'll notice this when new submissions are not transferred to SalesForce.

    4. Can I link to a picklist field in salesforce? What type of field in jotform should I use?

You should make sure that the field type of the mapped field you're using in SalesForce is the same as the one you're using in your form.

    5. With a signature field in JotForm, can I link to a field in salesforce?

Unfortunately, I don't think that would be possible since the signature field in JotForm returns an image object and I don't see a corresponding field type in SalesForce documentation.

You may also give a try with Zappier's integration to see if it works better for your needs.
