Birth Date Picker Widget: Date Format when Exported to Excel

I'm using the Birth Date Picker Widget and have a problem with its format in or out.

I first tried DDMMYYY, but the space given to each field doesn't adjust to the width of the field.

(This format DOES export so Excel {CSV} can read it as a date.)

Then I tried the more normal format of MMDDYYYY, the size of the fields fit, well almost.

But the export provides a format of the month spelled out, then the day, then the year: i.e. January 1 2000

The problem is it is missing the comma after the day. i.e. January 1, 2000  Without the comma Excel sees it as text and NOT a date, and therefore I can't change the format in Excel. I need the format of MM/DD/YYYY (all numbers with slashes in between) to import to another program. All I did was add the comma and Excel converted it to whatever date format I chose.

    Hi Russ563,

    Thank you for contacting us.

I was able to reproduce the issue that you are experiencing with exporting your data that have been entered in the Birth Date Widget into excel.

I have passed on this request to our back-end team to have the data exported to Excel in a data format.

Any update on the request will be posted to this thread.

    Thank you.

I am having a similar problem with birth date picker. The date is written out in Jotform (ie. January 7, 1968), but when I export to an Excel file, it changes it to 01/07/1968. I don't want it to convert to numbers. I merge the field into a letter, and I want it written out as January 7, 1968. How can I make sure it doesn't get changed into numbers in the Excel download? It didn't used to do this. Please help me fix it back to the way it was.
