Evaluating form solutions - question

I'm from a community college that is evaluating forms solutions and have a question.

Is it possible to use multiple forms to update one data set/entry table? We want to collect inquiries from a variety of places, our website, through phone calls, etc. There may be a slight variation in the form, depending on the source, so we'd like to tailor forms to capture slightly different data depending...the 'master entry table' would have all fields, of course, and each form would update the majority of the fields, but there could be a slight subset of fields used if coming from a specific source.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Laurel,

If that involves a database system, MySQL to be exact, we have it explained here:

    http://www.jotform.com/help/126-How-to-send-Submissions-to-Your-MySQL-Database-Using-PHP

You can also have it into an excel file through Zapier-Jotform-Google Spreadsheet Integration:

    https://zapier.com/zapbook/jotform/google-docs/3379/add-jotform-submission-to-google-docs-row/

That's it for the automation if you want to combine the submissions from your forms to a single file.

You can also combine submissions manually using our Combine Submissions App: http://apps.jotform.com/app/combine_submissions.

Let us know if you have further questions.

    Thank you!
