How can I get options dynamically in drop-downs?

    Hello,

I have a three tier hierarchy to be implemented where the user select a 'site' depending on which I would want a certain set of options to be present in the 'location', Again, depending upon the selection made in the 'location' field, there would be a set of options present in the 'resources' field. I also need to export this data in the form of a spreadsheet (for which I used Google SpreadSheets). Initially, I defined rules based on which different fields with different choices would appear altogether. But the problem with this approach is that the spreadsheets have all the the fields and the presentation on the spreadsheet is far from desirable.

Could anyone please suggest a solution? My preference would be that I use one field which displays a specific set of options depending upon the preceding choices the user has made.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Mayank,

Try checking our Dynamic Dropdown Widget: http://widgets.jotform.com/widget/dynamic_dropdowns.

Here's how to add a widget to your form: http://www.jotform.com/help/252-How-to-Add-a-Widget-to-your-Form.

Or, you can also just add a set of fields for each site. So, if you have 3 sites, you will also have 3 locations fields. You can then use show/hide fields method:

Let us know if you need further assistance.

    Thanks
