    Hi,

I have a question posted on my page; it is question 2 and I have submitted a jpeg of the question as well. I have created a text box beneath using your tools however i'd like to have a 'Other' text box similar to the one under the radio button question in number 3.  Can you help me configure that? Thank you!

If I understood you correctly you want that text box field in question 2 looks like text box inside of question 3.

It is possible to do that inside of your Form Builder. You need to select text box and then click on Hint Example inside of Form Builder and enter desired word/s.

Add the Allow other option in the Dynamic Dropdowns widget as in Check Box field Screenshot 30

After you make this change your form should look like this.

Add the Allow other option in the Dynamic Dropdowns widget as in Check Box field Screenshot 41

Hope this will help. Let us know if you need further assistance.

My apologies; not the text box itself to say other but a text box that is flush with the drop downs as the text box for 'Other' is in the 3rd question.

Dynamic Dropdowns widget that you are using have parent/child options. First drop down is parent and second is child. So if you want that "other" is shown in second drop down as default value you need to set that inside of your Dynamic Dropdowns widget. Single dot (.) stands for empty value. Instead of (.) you can enter text that you want to be displayed as default value in second drop down. You need to do that for all child elements.

After applying changes form will look like this:

i'm sorry; what i mean is that i'm looking to create a blank text box that is flush with the 2 existing drop downs in question 2.  So the empty text box would have a grayed text within it saying Other and applicants could put their own response in.  It's more for the aesthetic. So 2 drop down bars then the text box that says Other in gray inside the text box. If i put the gray drop down then they can't just put in what they'd like for a random position.

The option to add a "other" Text Field in a Drop Down field, as it does in the Check Box field:

Add the Allow other option in the Dynamic Dropdowns widget as in Check Box field Screenshot 90

Is not possible, because the Drop Down field or the Dynamic Dropdowns widget does not have that feature.

So, the possible options to do accomplish this are:

    1) Adding the Text Box field as you have already done, which means you will work with a second column for the same question:

Add the Allow other option in the Dynamic Dropdowns widget as in Check Box field Screenshot 101

    2) Work with the Configurable List widget:

Add the Allow other option in the Dynamic Dropdowns widget as in Check Box field Screenshot 112

Adding the options and the "Other" text field:

Add the Allow other option in the Dynamic Dropdowns widget as in Check Box field Screenshot 123

Make sure to set the minimal and maximal rows to 1:

Add the Allow other option in the Dynamic Dropdowns widget as in Check Box field Screenshot 134

    It will look like this:

Add the Allow other option in the Dynamic Dropdowns widget as in Check Box field Screenshot 145

However, you need to consider that if you opt for this method, you will need to:

    a) Add 1 Drop Down field located at the Forms Tool tab.

    b) Add 10 Configurable List widgets and customize them as shown above.

    c) Create 10 conditional statements that would hide or show an specific Configurable list widget depending on the selection chosen in the Drop Down field in order to accomplish what its already done with the Dynamic Dropdowns widget:

Add the Allow other option in the Dynamic Dropdowns widget as in Check Box field Screenshot 156

Add the Allow other option in the Dynamic Dropdowns widget as in Check Box field Screenshot 167

With that being said, I would definitely suggest you to stay with the option 1 you already did (adding a text field to work it as the "other" option that is part of your second question).

Otherwise, I can sent a request to our widgets team to have the option to include the "allow other" feature in the Dynamic Dropdowns widget, but I can not assure you if this will be approved, and if it gets approved, there is no estimated time-frame for its implementation, let us know what you decide, we will be glad to assist you.
