Is it possible to create a form that allows users to come back and change thier information?

Asked by camptejas on November 05, 2011 at 05:26 PM

I need to create a form that allows users to use a user name and password to sign into a form. Once on they would be able to fill in information and then hit a "save" button. then if they needed to change information at a later time they could return to the form to finish their work. is this partly or completely possible?

    Hi Camptejas,

Creating login account for your users isn't yet possible in JotForm, but letting them save their form and continue later can be accomplish by following this guide: http://www.jotform.com/help/97-How-to-Save-Forms-to-Continue-Later.

If you like, we have some workaround for password protecting forms but not a perfectly secure feature because Jotform currently does not have a built-in password protection feature for forms. The password used for this solution is visible in the form's source code, for more information please visit this thread: http://www.jotform.com/answers/21374-How-can-I-password-protect-a-form

I hope that helps. If you have more concerns, please feel free to let us know.

    Thanks and Regards,

This is great, thank you for the help. I do have one other question:
Is there a way to create a page navigation side bar? This would allow clients to go straight to particular pages without scrolling through the back/forward buttons. Let me know what you think, thanks

    Hi Seth,

Sorry to say but it's not possible at the moment, but I'm sure this feature is already in programmers to do list, so we'll just let you know once we have updates with this. Thank you so much and have a great day!
