Pass form field value to other field

I am making changes to a form I used last year for our Sports & Art Registration form. It is set up so that if parents have more than one child, they can click "another child". What do I need to do so that changes made in the "Child's information" section will come up in all the children's "child's information"?

If I understood you correctly you want to pass information from first child fields do second child fields and so on. You can achieve that with using of conditional logic to pass values from one filed to another.

More about conditional logic you can find in following articles:

Hope this will help. Let us know if you need further assistance.

I basically understand, but when I went in to the form to go to the conditions and all, the first screen showed me some of the conditions so I thought I just had to add a new one. When I went to that screen, it didn't show me all that was already set. I'm trying to add a new sport with a condition like the others. On the screen, I don't see all the details.  If you go to the first screen, you will see it says "If Sports and Arts...... then basketball; then Taekwondo...., etc." When I go to the next screen to edit, it only brings up basketball and it doesn't show **Please bring a ball labeled....  So, I am not sure where to put the new sport in the proper order with it's conditions"**Please bring a ball labeled with your name, if possible". Hopefully, this makes sense.

I think I understand what you are trying to do.  The way your form is set up, your conditions show a section of fields at a time.  Each section contains a set of identical fields.  If you would like to add new options to each section, you would need to add or update the field in each section.

If you need a new option for parents to select for each child, you will need to add the field to each section.  For example, you added options to this field:

Pass form field value to other field Image 1 Screenshot 30

You will need to make ths same update to all the other fields for each child.  They will not update automatically.  So even though you updated the first one, the copy of the field under the second child would also need to be updated:

The update would need to be made for each section that allow for an additional child.

I hope I made things a bit more clear.  If you have any further questions, let us know and we will be happy to help.

I did do that but it didn't save the other children. I'll try again.  ***TRIED AGAIN _ IT WORKED! I think I didn't save after each change thinking I would save after all changes made. This time I saved after every change!!

The other question I have regarding it is - when I went to the "conditions", it showed the extra clause like "bring a ball with your name on it" One the form, those don't show. How do I get all of that and why does it not show on the form but it is on the conditions page? I did find a hmlt box at the last child. I added the phrase for soccer. Will that show no matter how many children are registered. The box was not on any of the other children.

If you need to add something to your form, you need to add it to each section.  Though the sections look the same, they are all different fields.  Updating the options in one section will have no affect on the other sections at all.  You form simply shows a section of identical fields for each child.  If you want to make a change to the options for each child, you will need to make the updates to all your fields.  There is not way to update the options based on conditions.  The updates need to be made to the fields themselves.  You cannot add or update the content within your form from conditions.  You can only use them to show/hide form fields or update the values entered into your form.  It does not show in the form because it was not actually added to the form.
