Should I be concerned that there are no "Recent updates" showing since July 2014 whereas before that there seemed to be multiple releases throughout each year?

Indeed - thanks for the reply and yes I have been getting emails though admit I have not been paying them much attention amidst all the email "noise" :-(
What was the rationale for pausing recording of updates on the web site?
Surely it would be so very easy to simply log the email notifications content onto that page using automation, so that there is still a central reference point we users can visit when required?

Thank you for the feedback. I have raised this with our team manager. The Recent Updates page is a manual process and the in-charge is probably busy with some other things in the backend.
