Asked by Dave  on April 20, 2015 at 11:52 AM

When I create a form and make a shortcut on the iPad can I make a custom icon for different forms. Right now they all show up with the JotForm pencil

As far as I know Dave this is a limitation by the system - like you have .desktop in Linux for icons, that a website can not influence.

You should be able to change it with JailBraking of your phone, but I would advise against that and for that reason I did a quick search and it seems that it is possible even without jailbreaking it: http://ios.wonderhowto.com/how-to/customize-ios-app-icons-without-jailbreaking-your-iphone-0146669/

    * I only gave it a quick search and can not vouch for the info on the above page.

I will however ask my colleagues in the iOS department to update the thread if there is an easier way for you to change the icon.

Hi Dave, Ben told us about your question here involving changing the App and Form Icons of our JotForm Pencil that are added to your Devices HomeScreen.

I just wanted to confirm that what Ben has told you above is correct. There is no way to do this unless you are using Third-Party Apps to run your Icon Customizations through via the link he provided you as an example above which you can refer to for detailed examples of how to change it using those that you are more than welcome to try if you want to pursue it.

Alternatively, the only other way to do it would be by Jailbreaking your iPhone to allow the same with much more in-depth customizations. However, be advised that we strongly do not recommend or support this since Apple is fully against it and you may only do so at your own risk.
