Regarding our ceiling for account submissions during a given month

    1.       Will downloading our data as a CSV and clearing out the user database set us back to “0” or is the ceiling a fixed monthly figure, period?

    2.      Once we've hit the submission ceiling what happens to form data submitted in the interim before we’re back to “0” ?

Thanks again for all your help!

    Jonathan,

It appears I'm receiving conflicting information.  It is critical that we have the correct info regarding the submission limit for our timecard forms as we have to ensure that our clients are able to submit their timesheets at all times.

If I understand your statement from April 22 at 4:50PM - If [we] delete the existing submission data of form/s, it will decreased [our] current accumulated account submission count for the month.

We understand your statement to mean that if we reach our submission limit for our account during a given month, by downloading our submitted data as a CSV and deleting all submitted data we will once again be able to receive submissions during the remainder of that month.

However, I received the opposite information this morning from Shadae of your support team.  She indicates -

The submission limit on your account is fixed monthly. Downloading or deleting your submissions will not zero the limit on your account. Your submission limit is reset to zero on the first of each month.

Once you have reached any limit associated with your account, your forms will be disabled. The data already received on your account will not be affected and will be stored within your submissions page.

Which of these then is the actual case with Jotform?  Please let us know ASAP so that we can move forward.  Thank you.

    We apologize for this confusion.

As mentioned by my colleague Shadae, the limit submissions counter doesn't get reduced by deleting submissions, it's automatically reset to zero every first day of each month. What you could gain if you delete a submission is upload space if you're allowing your users to send you files using your forms.

What you could gain if you delete a submission is upload space, this would be applicable if you're allowing your users to send you files using your forms.

You can see more information about your account limits by clicking on the man looking icon on the right side of your screen.
