How to Hide/Show hidden part of the form using Conditional Logic?

Asked by dinobia on April 24, 2015 at 09:48 AM

    Hi,

I want to create a Conditional Logic form where the visitor enters their name, email and post code.

The Post Code field will contain Conditional Logic so that if the post code starts with MK45 they will see the rest of the form which they will need to complete and submit - BUT, if the post code does not begin with MK45 they are taken to a page with a message and their details are still submitted to me.

    Thanks,

    Dino

    Hi, dinobia,

With the use of the Conditional Wizard that JotForm offers, this can be done possibly.

Suppose this is your form: (Please see image below)

We placed the form that will only appear if the Post Code is MK45 inside a Form collapse so it will be easy for us to declare our Condition.

Let us now set the first condition:

    Then,

Click Save to save the first condition. We need to add another condition for the hidden part of the form to show.

The second condition should look like the image below.

Save second condition and preview your form. It should work like the GIF below.

For the other, condition that you will like to do with your form, here's what you need to do.

For the "Change Thank You URL after submission", you need to do this two conditions.

    1.

     2.

Then, if you only like a Thank-You message be shown when users submitted your form, you need to use the "Change the Thank you message after submission" option.

Here are all the conditions set to make your request possible.

You can also make other combinations, Like, condition numbers 3 and 6 can go along or 4 and 5, depending on you preferences, of course.

That's it. If, just in case, any of the steps above are unclear or needs further explanation, please feel free to let us know and we will be glad to help you

    Thank you for using JotForm.

    Kind regards,

By the way, here is the form URL of my example above, just in case you might be needing it.

And also, just to add, I have used the Enable/Disable option present in every condition of the Condition wizard to test the combination of my conditions.

You may also like to check this documentation, Smart-Forms-Using-Conditional-Logic for references.

    Kind regards,
