can the form be partially completed, saved, and then returned to later to be completed and submitted?

We are developing an application form for instructors at a life long learning institute. The application will consist of 20-25 questions. Two of the questions require text responses of 50-150 words. We constructed a satisfactory application form using Google forms. Unfortunately Google forms does not support a start-save-finish submit function. The entire application must be completed at one time. Because of the length of the application form, many of our applicants will not finish in one sitting.

    Does JotForm support this function?

    Hi,

Yes, we have a "save form and continue later" function. We have two methods:

    Autofill feature: http://www.jotform.com/help/227-How-to-Enable-Auto-Fill-Feature

    Session URL method: http://www.jotform.com/features/save-and-continue/

Autofill feature works on the same computer and browser so if you want to give users the option to continue later using a different machine and browser, use our Session URL method instead.

Let us know if you need further assistance about this matter.

    Thanks

Just to add, data on Autofill method are saved in the local browser storage so it's required to continue at the same PC and browser while data on Session URL method are saved to our servers. For as long as the Session URL are correct, users can have their data at a later date.

Lastly, you cannot use both because a conflict might happen in the form causing the data to disappear.

    Thank you.
