Now there are a couple of issues with the styles.
The Field Required warning label stays up even after there is data in the field.
The Hour: label is two lines instead of one.
If you could take a look at those two items, then I think I am ready to use the new form.
Thank you once again.
Here's the link to the form on my test site: http://mbyctest1.cloudaccess.net/social/1856-jotform-event-form-test-2015-04-27.html

This is the form you're referring to right? http://www.jotform.us/form/51164963098160
I checked your webpage (http://mbyctest1.cloudaccess.net/social/1856-jotform-event-form-test-2015-04-27.html) and I found out that the Date field is using a Date Picker widget.
However, the direct form is not using the widget.
May I ask how did you embed this form on your webpage?
It is possible that there are script conflicts between your webpage and the form. Can you please try to re-embed the form using iFrame.

I think I need to use the source code so that the JQuery Datepicker can be added so that we can show the week day in the text field #input_45.
Please see the earlier thread, #559325
Maybe #input_45 has two stages of validation -- one for the JQuery and another for JotForm?
- SammyAnswered on April 28, 2015 at 02:56 PM
Ive checked on your form, the persistent warning could be is a result for scripts conflicts for the date-picker, resulting in double validation (clicking on the form and picking a date, hen clicking on it again causes the validation to pass)
Have you tried re-embedding using iframe as Jan had earlier suggested.
Kindly confirm if it managed to resolve the issue.
- mbycsdAnswered on April 28, 2015 at 04:34 PM
Yes, here's the link to the embed as iframe test:
Unfortunately, the jquery datepicker is not working at all in the iframe embed.
The earlier thread #559325 Raul wrote to use the source code so that the JQuery Datepicker could be tied to #input_45.
This may be too hard to solve.

It looks like the core issue here is that the jQuery date picker does not clear the error message. I'm escalating this so our staff can look into resolving that. I haven't tried the workarounds my colleagues suggested, by using the source code, and managing around jQuery conflicts.
This thread will be updated if when we resolve the issue with the error not being cleared on the date picker widget when using an iframe.

Hi, please remove the jquery datepicker as its not advisable to add third party(widget) inside the form source code. Yes you have the freedom to edit your own form but its not recommended, it can cause problems if you're not sure on what you are doing.
On the time being, from your original thread(559325) - you want to include the week day on the input datepicker, yes? If so, this can be achieve using another jotform widget. Just use 'Mini date picker" and select the Date format to full.
This will give you a nice output, for example: Tuesday, 5 May, 2015
Please give it a try and let us know if you got your desired output.

Hello, Thank you for the Mini Date Picker suggestion. I put it on the form, but I am getting a Required Field red warning when I try to edit the form. This happened when I tried to update the number of people from 20 to 70. #input_33
I am removing my source code form. I will just use the form that has the widgets that you can help me with.
- KadeJMAnswered on May 05, 2015 at 01:50 PM
I do see what you mean involving requirement again. I think that is happening because of the input type it is as a datepicker so when the form is edited the existing information doesn't recognized properly which causes the selection requirement to fail on it. If you reselect it and reapply the date through it then that should resolve the issue even though we are aware that this does tend to cause an inconvenience if at some point it needs editing.
You said you'll be using the form with the widgets. That was the original per the above thread we had escalated here I think you mean, correct? Or Did you mean the one you just linked here http://mbyctest1.cloudaccess.net/event-request-form.html? I'm not sure I understand if you meant something else.
Anyhow though, I believe our developer is still looking into the issue to fix it for you.
- JotForm SupportwidgetsAnswered on May 05, 2015 at 01:59 PM
Hi, it should be fixed now. Edit mode should now be recognized by the widget. If a previous value were present, it will clear out the errors. As well as when you select a date.
Can you give it a try and let us know if the problem still persist.

I just tried to edit one of the events and I still get the Required Field red warning. I'm not trying to edit that field, although that could happen. I was just testing by adding a number to a text field I just added to the form for Number of People. #input_50

Unfortunately on my end, it works fine now. Once you start editing the form with previous values. Error will not be triggered anymore on the datepicket widget.
From this image you provided http://screencast.com/t/SflUBBkjFK, I don't see it anymore. Could please try it again. If you're able to clean your browser cache please do so.
- mbycsdAnswered on May 05, 2015 at 02:27 PM
I took a video this time to show the problem:
I cleared my browser cache and the JotForm cache.
I can always go back to Plan A which was to use two fields to achieve the same result: date and day of week.
- JotForm SupportwidgetsAnswered on May 05, 2015 at 03:30 PM
Hi, okay i see now the problem. I wasn't aware that you are trying to submit the form, I thought only when the form edit mode started.
Should be fine now, tested and it works great when I submitted the edited form.
Give it a try one more time and let us see the result.

Works perfectly! Thank you so much. sw
