I keep receiving thousands of entries on this form

I have had this issue in the past and I just tried updating the form and clicking the "Secure" button. This seemed to have worked for a while, I will still get sporadic ghost entries from time to time, but just over night I received 1600 entries.

    Hello jryan,

I'm sorry for the trouble caused to you.

You seems to be receiving spam submissions in your form. There are multiple ways to solve this problem:

#1. You can add "Captcha" field in your form. This will help if someone is trying to use automated tool to send spam submission in your form. Please be noted that it will not be effective if someone is manually trying to send spam. Please check the screenshot below:

#2. Another option is to take advantage of our "Unique submission" feature. This will block users from sending multiple submissions from one system or one IP address based on the setting you choose  either "Loose check" or "Strict Check" respectively. The following guide should help you :  http://www.jotform.com/help/64-How-to-Set-Unique-Submissions-on-a-Form

#3. You can also take advantage of our "Unique question" feature as well. This will prevent users from sending duplicate submissions using the same input data.

You can set one of your forms question to be a unique question eg. cell number / email address. This will not allow a user to use the same cell number or email address you used earlier to submit form. The following guide should help you:  http://www.jotform.com/help/223-How-to-set-Form-Limits-Based-on-a-Unique-Question

    Hope this helps.

Do get back to us if you have any questions.

    Thank you!

On behalf of my colleague, you're welcome.
Please let us know if adding the captcha field solves the problem.
