Inserting the original submission date into email notification using Read Only mode

I have read 2 posts about this but it does not seem possible - unless something has changed?

I want to include the original date of submission in the email notification, and all subsequent email notifications; so that if my colleagues edit the form after its original submission (via Jotform > My forms > View Submissions > Edit), the original date of submission is still included in the latest email notification.

    My form is

    http://form.jotformeu.com/form/32873408085358

    The posts I read were:

    http://www.jotform.com/help/68-Using-Dates-in-Email-Templates

    http://www.jotform.com/answers/341753-Showing-date-of-original-submission-and-date-of-resubmission

    Thank you!

    Hello,

I created a demo form, please check it.

You can use the DateTime under Quick tools, right click the field and enable the "Read Only". Also, select "Current Date" as the default value.

Don't forget to add the "Edit link" in the email notifications and the "Date field" if it is not yet there.

    Hope this helps. Thank you.

Thank you - that works nicely. I am surprised that solution is not mentioned on the other posts. By the way the link to your demo form is broken but it's ok, I did not need it.

I have corrected the link in his post to this: http://form.jotformpro.com/form/51194655991971

The link that he added was working, but it is working only for us (support), but the one above will work for you as well.

I am glad however that the solution by my colleague worked for you :)

Do let us know if there is anything else that we can assist you with and we would be happy to do so.
