Hi,
There is a filepicker widget. It works very well indeed. It was developed by Jotform.
I note that there is an entry under the Integrations button for Filepicker. Click on it and it doesn't work.
It appears to have been developed by Jotform.
Has this integration been superceded by the Filepicker Widget?
I was under the impression that developers develop these ... not Jotform.
As Filepicker have a new version coming out that is fantastic ... and I need it implemented soon as ... I am looking at all the options available in bringing this to a reality.
If you could let me know whether this is just "dormant" or redundant ... i would be grateful to know
Thnaks Mark

Hi, Mark,
The Filepicker Integration is our App that will create a quick sample form with the widget since many people have been looking for integration. If you want to use it, you can simply add the widget to your form instead. This is the Ink File Picker app link: http://apps.jotform.com/app/inkfilepicker.io_integration
Thank you.
Kind regards.

Hi, Mark,
First, I would like to thank you for bringing this into our attention. We greatly appreciate your concern. I will be forwarding this to our developers so they may look into it deeply. After running some test with different browsers, I've proved that the Filepicker is unclickable from the Integration tool, which means you would not be able to add it from there. However, by continuously trying, I have managed to add it from the integration just once after several tries, problem is, the "Pick File" button of the Filepicker is not working if you got it from the Integration from the toolbar of the form builder page.
Again, thank you so much for letting us know this as we may find a way to fix the issue.
Kind regards.

That's fine ... do you think the Integration should be removed ... it makes no sense to have two points of entry for this.
The widget works brilliantly ... I use it on every form.
It's just that filepicker are about to update their version ... which is a 'gamechanger' ... and I was looking at the state of play with filepicker.
Indeed Jotform offers Widgets, Integration, apps ... its difficult to know what's what.
One question ... Did Ink Filepicker put forward the Integration themselves ?? Or was it purely an early jotform initiative.
I'm just trying to understand why there are two pieces of work that do the same thing ... but are fundamentally different.
Many Thanks, Mark

I think Mike_G addressed this thread incorrectly.
A little explanation before addressing your concern: The reason why Ink File Picker is listed in the Integration Panel as well as the Widgets Menu is that is a very popular feature
It's the same upload field which works with different devices/ platforms. It's just listed in different places
So, sorry if this confuses you. I'll also speak with the devs and UI/UX Designer about this. And may open a second ticket for this.
Anyhow, thank you for pointing this and bringing it to our attention.
On regards to your question:
One question ... Did Ink Filepicker put forward the Integration themselves ?? Or was it purely an early jotform initiative. That was an initiative taken by our devs.
Now, on regards to your main concern:
As Filepicker have a new version coming out that is fantastic ... and I need it implemented soon as ... I am looking at all the options available in bringing this to a reality.
I've forwarded your concern to our developers.

Hi Jeanette,
Thanks for the clarification on that.
I have been pushing filepicker (it is not called Ink Filepicker anymore just Filepicker) to add a fantastic feature.
The new version of their dialog box is to be released early May ... nowish.
I will post a thread tomorrow with exactly these revolutionary changes ... basically its about client side image compression and image scaling before upload. The result is exceptionally fast uploads on smartphones and the test results are fantastic.
I shall point to the thread from this thread so you see it.
Many Thanks

Hi Jeanette,
Just wanted to flag this related thread for your attention that I have posted ...
Users ... This thread is complete ... it advises that the Jotform Integration and Jotform Widget for Filepicker are one of the same.

Hello Mark,
The widget has been updated - and we can continue the discussion on the second thread you opened.
The Ink File Picker widget and App location are now unified, and you will find them under the widgets tool tab:
Thanks!
