Set Fixed amount on Payment Tool if a "no-show" in the reservation happens?

    Hello Jotform, 

    I need to create a form where my registrants are only charged a fixed amount IF they cancel after a set date or if they are a "no show" on the day of the event.  I want to know how I can do this with your integrated payment methods or through the creation of a form.  Please let me know asap.  I tried, but I could not figure it out.  Thank you in advance for your time.  I look forward to hearing from you soon.  Until then, take care and.....

    I believe this is not possible in our end, this is because we are only passing data to the payment processors that are integrated. We do not process payments or handle payment details. This is still processed in the 3rd party like Paypal. We do not allow forms that manually ask for sensitive information like credit card information or bank details, if a payment is needed you will need to use the payment integration.     However, there are specific setup, like the regular Paypal integration that lets you have an authorization process for the payment, you can check it in its "Properties".


    This means that the user will not be billed or charge instantly, you will need to logged in to your Merchant Paypal account and authorize this payment, this can be useful when doing a final call for your customers who reserved a seat.

    Another process is that you create 2 Forms. Form 1 will charge the customer a FIXED amount for a mandatory charged for reserving a seat, after that, redirect the user to Form 2 which will give them the full price of the reservation BUT they will not be charged instantly (assuming all are setup using Paypal).

    Here's a guide on how to redirect a user to a custom URL: You'll just need to get the Form 2's direct link and use that instead.
