Is the number of options in a Dropdown menu limited?Asked by gustavocostacarvalho on May 05, 2015 at 03:57 PM
I have a dropdown menu with nearly 4500 options...every time I save the form after editing it and return to it in order to correct someting, some of the options in that dropdown menu I cited has gone...What can I do?
Thank you for contacting us.
There is no limit in theory, but different browsers might handle the controls differently. Also, the performance with a huge drop down listing might depend on the device hardware. For example, it is hard to manage huge drop downs on mobile devices.
You might consider splitting the drop down listing to multiple listings based on some criteria.
And show created drop downs based on conditional logic.
